Award Auditioning

The DYMF holds a series of live auditions for its awards through the year.

To apply you must be studying music (aged between 17 and 24) with the intention of gaining a recognised practical qualification such as  ABRSM grade 6 or higher, A/S level or a Degree.

For the chance to win one of our prizes, you will need to attend an audition venue and register on the day in question as published, and perform your chosen music for our panel adjudicators.

The date and location of those live auditions will be published on our website and announced via our social media.

The music you play or sing should be no longer than 10 minutes in duration.

The music can be classical or contemporary, or one of your own compositions and you can be accompanied by a pianist.

Please ensure you have a copy of the music score you are performing, for the adjudicating panel to review.

When you arrive at the Auditions you will be required to register providing basic personal detail requiring the following:

Your full name.

Age.

Residence.

Educational Institute.

Your mobile contact number and email address.
